On your list of familiar teams at the top of the 5A totem pole, Castle View probably does not appear. Castle View does not yet have a long history, and what history they do have has been spent building toward the kind of team that can be competitive at the highest levels of 5A.

Whether or not they threaten for a state title, the Sabercats are a team itching to make their mark.

The most versatile athlete on the Sabercat roster is hurdler Parker Strahler. It's more or less a given that Strahler will be running both hurdle events at state. Strahler is, however, the decisive winner of the 2014 State Pentathlon competition and does a lot of things well. We could see him long jumping, triple jumping, or taking up the baton and running a relay or two.
