Water is earth's most abundant resource. It is unlikely that anyone is more keenly aware of that right now than the Colorado track and field Community.
What started as just a little cloud cover steadily progressed in to a rain storm, then a torrential downpour, then finally a rainpocalypse. In order for a storm to become a rainpocalypse, it must last for more than 48 hours, turn every cinder track within a 50 mile radius in to a mud pit and eventually wreak havoc on track meets far and wide.
Defending 2A champion Lutheran is only the beginning of the depth that the Metro League boasts. While the Metro does not lack athletes ranked in the top 18, it does lack in one very important thing: a track stadium. With the departure of Holy Family to 4A, the Metro lacks a great track venue to host its league championship.
