The list of Colorado entries, 100 in all, for this weekend's Great Southwest meet in New Mexico is now complete. There should be much for Colorado to look forward to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, including a weather forecast that isn't hitting the high 90s the way it did the last two years. Okay, so teh forecast is for low 90s and high 80s, but at least it's something of a reprieve from the last two years.
There will be a Colorado contingent introductory meeting at the conclusion of the practice session (around 7:15-7:30) on Friday by the steeplechase pit. It is open to all Colorado athletes if they are available. It will be a brief meet and greet to pump up the Colorado delegation for the Saturday's main day of competition!
Also, new this year will be a “Parade of Athletes” at 5:00 pm on Saturday. All Colorado athletes who can should meet at the 200 meter dash start at 4:45 pm. Each state contingent will march together the 200 meters with their state flag to kick off the evening session of the meet.
