We've already looked at how 2A Girls and 4A Boys are shaping up against last year's minimum state qualifying standards. Attention now turns to 5A Girls.
Shown below in the middle column in the top-18 cutoff for each event in 5A Girls last spring. In a few cases, people made it into state with lesser marks, but only because an athlete above them scratched. In the right-hand column in the current #18 cutoff for 5A Girls. None of this year's marks have yet reached last year's standard, but that time is coming.
