Arvada West capitalized on hosting their own meet with a couple of decisive team victories. Each year, Arvada West seems to squeeze its grip of control on this meet a little tighter. At the rate things are going, the resistance may be just about squeezed out.

Having dropped the field, Justin Andrade takes on the bike.

Justin Andrade drops the hammer; A-West boys drop the anvil.

Andrade ran very patiently through the first mile, more than happy to allow Ryan Lehmuth from Jefferson Academy and Trevor Smith from Standley Lake set the early pace. Not long after passing the mile marker, Andrade made a move to the lead and never relented. Andrade cruised home to a 16:27 win. Teammate Max Sevcik outkicked Lehmuth for second, and the rout was on. Aftter Christian Van Cleave from JA and Smith rounded out the top 5, Arvada West went 6th, 12th and 13th for the win. 34 points for the men in purple. D'Evelyn and Standley Lake duked it out for 2nd and 3rd. Standley missed second place by 1 point. D'Evelyn 114, Standley, 115.
