For several years running now, Region 1 has been the monster region of 2A cross country, producing such dominant teams as Nederland, Lyons, and Heritage Christian Academy.

It's still a very, very good region. 

This year, the region departs its usual digs out back of Lyons High School and heads for a country club setting in Yuma. If you didn't know Yuma had a country club setting, you just found out (and, okay, I'll admit that "golf course" and "country club" aren't necessarily synonymous).

2A Region 1 Girls Preview

Four teams advance to state, and there is a clear set of four teams at the top of this region. That doesn't mean everything works out all honky-dory for those four teams, but there's good reason to believe it just might.
