Marlena Preigh is scheduled to be among a handful of Colorado athletes competing in Seattle Saturday.
Maybe it was just that things were getting a little crowded at the Air Force High School Indoor Open. Or, perhaps it was the opportunity to see someplace new.
In any case, the Air Force High School Indoor Open won't be the only MileSplit live streaming event of the weekend of interest to Colorado fans of track and field. A handful of Colorado athletes are making their respective ways to Seattle this weekend to compete at the UW High School Invitational at the Dempsey Arena.
Among those competing (and I cannot promise this is a comprehensive list) are: Lauren Offerman, Marlena Preigh, Cari Otto, Aleigha Street, Emily Long, Jack Rubalcave, Cayce Reese, Cody Jones, and Levi Chambers.
If you read through that list and think, "Wow, that list has a distinctly Frontier Academy kind of flavor to it," you've quickly come to the same conclusion I did--though certainly not all of the athletes listed attend Frontier Academy. Who knew about the Greeley-Seattle connection?
And, of course, the UW High School meet will also be hosting other top high schoolers from around the western half of the nation.
If you're wanting to catch the UW action here at home, plus the AF High School Indoor Open, you can! If you are currently a MileSplit Pro member, you're already in. Just tune in for the meet on Saturday. If this meet is what it takes to push you over the edge to become a MileSplit Pro member, you can sign up now and enjoy the meet on Saturday. Or, you can go the whole distance, become a Flo Universal member and have access to all live streaming events, and much more, across the entire FloSports network.
