2017 Runners Roost of FoCo: The Lambkins Sweep At Home

Koopman and Gregory Spearhead Fort Collins Effort

Lauren Gregory finishes with a 100m gap in the mile.

The Fort Collins boys put together an all-around effort scoring point on and off the track. Micaylon Moore notched 16 points in the horizontal jumps.  Michael Kadlick added 14 points in the 100m and the 200m. Lambkin distance added 11 points. Every relay scored big for Fort Collins, totaling 33 more points including a victory in SMR8 (yes, the boys SMR8; no, it won't be a State event).

The Fort Collins boys noticeably missed the scoring places in both hurdle events where Laramie's McCade Johnson narrowly outdueled Mountain View's dynamic duo of Nolan Kembel and Luke Gordley.

The Fort Collins girls dominated by an impressive 67 points. Similar to the boys, the Fort Collins girls excelled on the track and in the field. The Lambkins had multiple scorers in seven events, scored in every relay (including two first place finishes in the 4x100m and the 4x400m), and had seven individual event victories thanks to Audra Koopman, Jasmine Chesson, Lauren Gregory, and Kailey Paterson.

Koopman ran and jumped to three titles, and Gregory won the 1600m by over 100m and clocked a 2:15 in the 800m.

Mountain Vista's Lauren Offerman had a pair of solid performances winning the 3200m, and taking second to Gregory in the 800m. As of this writing she ranks third in each event in 4A.
