Summary
Mountain Vista's two varsity squads made a statement on Friday.
Their boys, with the re-emergence of a couple of blasts from the past, have announced that they're back and are to be reckoned with by the likes of defending champion Monarch, and the young and talented, yet depleted at the moment squad from Rock Canyon, along with a host of other schools for certain.
Mountain Vista's girls lobbed the first strike towards Broomfield, whom narrowly defeated them at state last year, and outperformed them at Nike Cross National in December, after suffering defeat to them at NXR SW. It is expected that this will be a season-long battle once again, for both state supremacy and national bragging rights, between Broomfield's Eagles and Mountain Vista's Golden Eagles.

Team wise, we want to win state again and we really want to stay as close as we can as a pack. We want to see how we can do at NXR."
