For Sydnee Larkin and Mary Gillett, the indoor long jump season started off very nicely.
The first set of results received inadvertently omitted the second flight of girls long jump results. Those results have now been corrected.
It was a nice night of long jump results to open the season.
In all, five girls went beyond 17 feet. You'll recognize the names, but we didn't necessarily expect such a large crowd over 17 feet to open the season.
Sydnee Larkin took the win at 18-3.75. That's not quite a PR, but she can count on her hands the number of times she's gone better than that. Not a bad way to open the season.
Joining Larkin on the far side of 17 feet were Mary Gillett, Abigail Tamminga, Chian DeLoach, and Mariela Hollines. For Tamminga and Holines, Thursday night's marks established new PRs.
