There were quite a few highlights of the meet, among them was the 100, which was perhaps one of the most competitive event - the top-six ran 11.20 or faster. From the gun Ibro Soumah led a wave across the track and the field nearly ran stride for stride. Soumah took the win in a Colorado No. 3 of 11.13. Ma'siah Henry Hudson and Joel Nyatusah were right on his heels in 11.15, and 11.16 - the No. 4 and No. 5 marks in the state.

The 200 was much of the same, with Soumah running a state-leading 21.61. Behind him where the No. 2 and No. 3 marks in the state, as Keirryse Simpson ran 21.70, and Ethan Loper ran 21.80.

Jared Ammon entered the state rankings by winning the 400 in 49.62, while Harrison Scudamore paced his way to a No. 10 state mark in the 1,600, winning the event in 4:27. Of note: Scudamore is scheduled to run in a stacked 3,200 Saturday at the Broomfield Shootout.

Mason Brown added his name to the conversation of who the best distance runner in the state is. Brown soloed a 9:31 3,200. The win was 23-seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, and the No. 1 time in the state.

Likewise, the 110 hurdles was another stacked race, with the top-three times in the state coming out of the meet. Joel Nyatusah ran a blazing 13.98 for a state-leading mark. Additionally, it's the fastest time in the country right now. Hot on his heels were Darrius Gaw and Zaire Jackson, who ran 14.09, and 14.37.
