Week Seven Coaches Poll: Girls

The theme of this week was unanimous No. 1s. Mountain Vista, Niwot, Peak to Peak, and Lyons have proven their ranking week in and week out, and no one has given a reason to doubt their status on top of their classifications.

We've seen nearly everyone's cards as this point, which means the next few weeks will be the calm before the storm.

5A

Mountain Vista remained a unanimous No. 1 this week. There's no real surprise there. Likewise, the top four remained the top four. Of note, Cherry Creek headed to the Pacific Northwest and finished third at the Portland XC Invite with an 18:56 average. While Mountain Vista is flying freely in the No. 1 position the real question is how everyone files in behind them.

Cherry Creek and Cherokee Trail are setting up for a big date  in Colorado Springs later this month...

Behind the top four we saw some minimal musical chairs, and one new squad to this week's rankings: Broomfield, who had a big day at Thornton, finishing third behind Fossil Ridge and Fairview.

4A

With each passing week, Niwot has proven that they're the real deal. They were a unanimous No. 1 this week, just ahead of Battle Mountain.

We saw very little movement within the top 10 this week, though there was one big leap, and that came from Eagle Valley, who landed No. 7 this week.

3A

Peak Peak remained in the driver's seat, though The Classical Academy wasn't far behind this week. The real story of 3A was the emergence of Frontier Academy, who jumped to the No. 3 spot.

Frontier finished 11th in the seeded division of the Stanford Invitational this past weekend with a 20:14 average.

This week saw no new squads enter the rankings.

2A

Lyons held its very firm grip over 2A this week, and Buena Vista was a clear No. 2. The top four appear locked in their spots, though we did see some movement on the backend of the rankings.

Daweson slid their way into the top eight this week, coming in No. 8.
