Q) Talk about the recruitment process - what other schools were you looking at, and how did you come to choosing Idaho State?
I had narrowed my search down to the University of Wyoming and Idaho State. It was a hard choice because I really loved both schools. I came to choose Idaho State by looking at what school I would want to be at if I wasn't involved in athletics. Personally, I felt the programs offered at Idaho were a better fit for me.
Q) What do you plan to study at Idaho State?
I plan on getting a bachelor of science degree focused on biomedicine and eventually getting my doctor of osteopathic medicine.
Q) You've had an success in everything from the 800 up to 5k, what are you planning to focus on at Idaho State?
I am not sure yet. Wherever ends up being the best fit for me is where I will focus. I enjoy all of them.
Q) Could you share any goals you have for the upcoming track season?
My major personal goals for track are to break 5 minutes in the 1600 and to run under 2:16 in the 800. As for my team, I would love to see us win conference for the fourth time on the girls side and place top 8 at state.
Q) What would your favorite high school moment be (so far)?
I honestly couldn't choose one moment because there are so many! By far some of the best are making the podium at state track the last two years and at state cross country last year. Then there are all the cross country girl team bonding activities. Those are wild!
