Well, there you have it.
The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) announced late Tuesday morning that the 2020 track and field season has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision came as a result of Governor Polis' announcement of a transition to "Safer at Home" guidelines. This included the cancellation of in-person learning for the remainder of the school year.
The decision to cancel the spring season for all sports aligns with these new guidelines.
CHSAA's Sports Medicine Advisory Committee met Monday evening, and decided that "It would be impractical and irresponsible for the Association to move forward with a spring season in the next weeks or even the summer months."
