Brie Oakley and Lauren Gregory both left a significant imprint on Colorado's best all-time marks.
Since at least the 1980s, Tim Rutherford curated the best marks by Colorado high school track and field athletes. Initially, he published rankings of the top performances in each event in book form. Eventually, that gave way to electronic form. Several editions of the "Rutherford Lists" were published in recent years here at Colorado Track XC.
For the time being, at least, I've taken over maintaining (and occasionally publishing) these lists. For most events, what you'll find below is a top-10 list of all-time marks posted by Colorado high school athletes. Location for the efforts for this list is not limited to Colorado, but could be anywhere in the world. For events where there is not a sufficient number of athletes meeting a particular standard, a list of less than 10 marks is published.
It's inevitable in creating a list like this that errors will be made. If you find an error--be it an omission, an incorrect spelling, or anything else that is not exactly correct--please send me an email at versawa@msn.com, and I will do my best to get it fixed. Note that indoor marks are included where indoor efforts meet the top-ten standard. In general, wind readings are required for the 100, 200, 100H, LJ, and TJ. That requirement, however, is waived if the mark is an indoor mark or if the mark was posted before widespread use of wind gauges.
For now, though, enjoy the latest edition of the Rutherford List of high school girls marks for the state of Colorado.
