Chatfield freshman Reese Tucker ran the fourth fastest time in the Class of 2024.

The girl's freshmen class was led by one of the most high-caliber competitions of the 2020 state cross country championships...

Leading the way this past Saturday was 4A state champion Bethany Michalak. Her 17:59 was the lone sub-18 clocking from the class - and second among all grades.

Mia Prok nearly cracked the mark as well - she finished runner-up to Michalak in the 4A race, running an 18:02.

Michalak and Prok were in their own world here.

Loveland's Elena Torres, and Chatfield's Reese Tucker were the next two, and the final two to crack 19 minutes.

Torres ran 18:55, which was just one-second ahead of Tucker's 18:56.
