
Now that the season has settled a bit - there's only one or two big cross country meets out of state, we can start looking at next year...
What will the state meet look like? Hopefully it'll be back to normal...
The following is a list of the top returners from the 2020 state meet.
Graduation will clean out much of the top-10 - only two from this year's top-10 return.
Valor Christian sophomore Ty Garrett is the top returner - he finished eighth at the 2020 state championships, running 16:06.
And it looks like he'll have company.
Mountain Vista's Jayden Nats finished just five seconds behind Garrett. Nats ran 16:11 to finish 10th.
Fairview's Eric Sankey, Dalton Kaines, and Kien Cogley all finished within 20-seconds of Nats. Sankey was 14th this year in 16:20, Kaines with 18th in 16:26, and Cogley was 20th in 16:30.
And keep an eye on the Chaparral freshmen duo - Brennan Draper and Tanner Brown. They were the top two freshmen at this year's state meet, and the No. 6 and No. 7 returners. At ...
