On paper, Valor Christian returns the top squad - but Cherry Creek looks just as strong.
Valor returns one sub-18 runner from this year - Jocelyn Millican, and has three returners who have run under 18:20 - Lanie Szuch, and Brooke Wilson. Additionally, they've got five who have run 18:41 or faster - and six who have run 18:43 or faster. Among their returners, they own an 18:22 1-5 average, and a 1-5 split of just 48 seconds.
Cherry Creek, on the other hand, perhaps appears to be the second-best team among returners, but that's just in appearances.
