Lee soloed his way around the course, and cruised across the finish line in 17:26 - a 49-second victory. The result marked his second-consecutive win, and his fourth of the season.
As decisive as Lee's finish was, there was a real battle for the runner-up spot.
Adrian Lopez and Alex Bepristis kicked all the way through the line, and it was Lopez who would take the honors, running 18:15.50 to Bepristis' 18:15.70.
Colorado Academy put two inside the Top-10, tallying 51 points to claim the 3A Region 5 title. Machebeuf took second with 65 points, D'Evelyn took third with 72, and DSST Byers took the fourth and final qualifying spot with 72.
