Defending state champs - The Classical Academy - top this list, but not by much. They return a 1-5 average of 16:02 and a 1-5 split of 2:08. They have the top-two fastest returners in Matthew Edwards and Chandler Wilburn. Edwards ran 14:48 this fall, while Wilburn has broken 15:16. Additionally they return five who have broken 17 minutes.
Alamosa is a close No. 2 - they've got a stellar pack. They've got an average of 16:30, and a 1-5 split of just 38-seconds. They return three who have run 16:31 or faster, and five who have broken 16:50. Isaac Higareda is their top returner with a 16:11 personal best.
Based on 2021 PRs, there's quite a gap after TCA and Alamosa.
Frontier Academy is the No. 3 here. They've got a 17:02 average, and a 1-5 split of 1:39. They return three who have broken 17 minutes, and five who have broken 17:55. Darren Hayden is their top returner with a 16:15 PR.
