MileSplit Shorts: Featuring the Mullen Girls Cross Country team!

If the first week of the 2022 Colorado cross country season was the warm-up, we're really falling into stride now.

The second week of the season showed us that there is a lot to be excited about over the coming months - there were a ton of incredible performances that we've recapped above in this week's edition of MileSplit Shorts.

Among the many, many big performances that came out of the week came from Colorado's high country at the Battle Mountain Husky Invitational, where both girls and boys meet records fell.

Battle Mountain's Will Brunner showed the state that he's in the real deal with his 16:40 course record. He became the sixth runner to ever break 17-minutes on this course - and he's in good company on that sort list. For the girls Summit's Ella Hagen became the first girl to break 19 minutes on this grueling course, running 18:54.
