The new format at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede (Pre-State) was definitely conducive to some top-tier performances. 

This year's edition of the meet merged 2A/3A races, 4A/5A, and had a new Seeded section. 

The result?

As mentioned above, there were some great races. 

So, who would've won the entire meet in a PowerMerge?

For the boys Summit's Dominykas Remeikis takes the cake with that incredible kick in the Seeded race. Likewise, Tessa Walter's 17:50 won the overall girls merge. 

As for the teams Fairview showed some early strength by taking the W here with two inside the top-nine, and four under 17-minutes. It's of additional note that while Cheyenne Mountain finished second, clearly they were pack-running - they had a six-second 1-5 split.

For the girls - put 5A on alert, because Air Academy looks good. They put four inside the top-seven, with all four under 19:30,
