When the regular season ends all eyes look ahead to a post-season meet.
And for athletes from Colorado, those eyes typically look somewhere at much lower elevations where fast times can be run.
In recent years there've been plenty of options.
This year is no different.
While most of Colorado is catching flights to either Phoenix, or Portland, or Huntsville, one squad booked a much longer flight.
This one covers quite a bit of water as well, and soars to the pink-sand beaches of Bermuda.
Just over a dozen athletes from Central (GJ) are headed to the first annual Bermuda XC Challenge.
It's a tradition of sorts for the team, which books travel to a post-season every year. And this year they opted for creating a new one.
I caught up with them and asked about their decision to forgo that "downhill track" at the Garmin RunningLane Championships for a much more tropical option.
