So, let's take a look at the top combined mid-distance runners -  the 800 and the mile - so far...

Resurrection Christian's Jackson Fagerlin is definitely getting a jump on 2024 - he tops this list with a combined time of 6:36.31. He's run 1:59.8 in the 800, and 4:37 in the mile. 

While his outdoor personal bests (1:54/4:17) are lightyears ahead of his current indoor bests, what's revealing is that last year he never ran faster then 2:03, and 4:38 (in Colorado) during the 2023 indoor season. He's raced just once this indoor season, and already, he's ahead of last year.
