Congratulations to Payton Becker of Ponderosa High School for winning last week's performer of the week with her Colorado-leading 100m hurdles race. Voting for this week closes on April 11th at Midnight, so get your votes in early for this week!
Addison Bartlett, Riverdale Ridge High School: Though she has been on here before for the discus, Bartlett became the second girl this season in Colorado to throw over 40 feet in the shot put. Her mark of 40-2 puts her nicely at #2 in all of Colorado.
Natalie Washburn, Timnath High School: Sneaking into the #1 spot in the 800m for Colorado was Washburn, running a time of 2:12.77. This mark is a huge PR for this senior and though Timnath did compete in 2A for the past two seasons, they jumped up to 4A this year. However, Washburn does have the capability to race with the best of 4A after this weekend.
Tessa Walter, Air Academy High School: Also going down in altitude was Air Academy racing at the Oregon Relays. Walter ran the 2 mile in a time of 10:24 and her 3200m en route time ended up 10:21, which puts her in the top spot for Colorado by four seconds.
Maggie Hoyer, Fossil Ridge High School: Only a sophomore, Hoyer just hit a mark of 37-8 in the triple jump, putting herself at #3 overall in Colorado. Her jump is also ranked #2 for sophomores in the whole nation.
