Last season, The Classical Academy won the state team title pretty easily with their strong group of freshmen and sophomores. Yes, you read that right - freshmen and sophomores. This season, all of the girls return from that title-winning team and expect them to be faster than ever going into this new season.

Much of the analysis on the top three girls is mentioned in the individual rankings, where Vivian Jack, Ellie Askew, and Joy Ahnfeldt are the 2-4 returns for Class 3A. You can read more here. In terms of the rest of the team, TCA has incredible depth, so even if the 4th and 5th runners in Jana Yuschalk or Gabriella Harding have an off day, there are others who can step up and almost replicate their performance, making this team a tough one to beat. Both Yuschalk and Harding put in strong spring seasons, running personal best times in most of their events including a 2:17 mark in the 800m for Yuschalk and 11:20 in the 3200m for Harding.
