Similar to Class 2A, there is no clear-cut favorite for the individual title on the boys' side. Towler Scott of Basalt High School has the fastest 5k time, running 15:36. Curiously, that is the only time he has run under 16 minutes for the 5k. He also finished 20th overall at the cross country state meet, which is a little bit lower than some of the other names on this list. Nevertheless, Scott did have a solid spring season where he placed 3rdoverall at the state track and field meet in the 3200m with a time of 9:49.
Next on the list is Max Miller of The Vanguard School, coming in with a time of 15:45. Miller can be a little up and down with his times throughout the season, but he has performed well at sea level meets, including the Nike Southwest Regional meet, where he ran his personal best time of 15:45.
