This meet began as something of an overflow meet for the TCA Invitational on Saturday. It has blossomed into a very nice (mostly small school) meet in its own right. A field of 17 teams, all 2A and 3A except Falcon, converged on Fountain Creek Regional Park on Friday evening.
Although there was competition on an individual level for most of Falcon's boys, none of the assembled field had any answers to the overall depth of the Falcons. Bryce Gregoire, running in a league of his own, easily took the individual title with a time of 16:36. Joey Wuertz, Alex Haberkorn, and Patrick Brungardt finished 4-5-8. And that was more than enough to nail down the lid on the team scoring. Falcon's 17 points (taking into account discarded runners from incomplete teams) team points beat second-place Rocky Ford by 39 points.
