Teams: Aspen, Basalt, Bayfield, Buena Vista, Centauri, Coal Ridge, Grand Valley, Gunnison, Hotchkiss, Lake County, Monte Vista, Olathe, Pagosa Springs, Rifle
At one point, I mistakenly believed that Middle Park was part of this region. That would have made this region even tougher than it is now. Teams figuring to make it to state out of this region simply don't have much margin for error this year. It's crowded at the top. As things stand now, there are ten complete teams in the region, meaning that four will advance to state. That count would remain the same even should the count of complete teams drop to nine.
Hotchkiss dominated the region last year and still has the look of the region's top team. Pagosa Springs has been running well and appears, on the basis of season times posted to date, to be the #2 team in the region. Bayfiel...
