2A Region 1
Teams: Alexander Dawson, Collegiate Academy, Denver Academy, Denver Christian, Lutheran, Lyons, Merino, Nederland, Resurrection Christian, Shining Mountain Waldorf, Wiggins, Yuma
At this point, this one is promising only nine complete teams. That does mean four teams to state, but it will drop to three once only eight teams complete the regional race. There will be a lot of folks hoping for a count of at least nine complete teams.
Regional favorite status rests squarely on the shoulders of Lyons High School. Quietly, the Lions have had a pretty solid season. They don't get much notice, however, because they never run in 2A meets except for regional and state.
