All across Colorado, and a little bit beyond the borders of our state, it was a busy weekend for the high school track and field athlete. As a rule, the performances turned in this weekend were a little subdued over what they've been over the preceding two weekends, but there was still more than enough to take note of. Here are some of the highlights of the weekend now completed:

Joe Davis Open

This is officially not a high school meet, but lots of high schoolers found their way into this meet. And, they mostly held their own very nicely.

At least four personal best marks punctuated the day for the high school contingent. Tony Carodine tied his long jump PR at 23-0. Addy Neibauer posted a new personal best in the pole vault at 11-5.75. Zainab Sanni ...
