Everything is pointing to a banner year for jumps and vaults in the Colorado high school ranks. The long jump and triple jump are absolutely packed with serious contenders. Talent appears to be a little thinner in the high jump and pole vault, but still with some very high expectations (no pun intended, but I'll take credit/blame for it anyway).

Let's break it down by event and classification:

Rampart's Ryan Cook is back after stunning everyone with a 6-10 at state. Will the magic be back this spring? Camren McWee of Legacy is another solid contender, but figures to be divvying up his attention between the various jumping events. Certainly, however, McWee has the spring to be able to win things if he manages his season well. Five more jumpers return with clearances of 6-4 or higher, but that's not the makings ...
