It figures to be a robust year for girls jumps. Records are clearly in danger, and state team titles could hang in the balance of how things turn out in the pits. For a closer look at the possibilities, let's break down each event by classification.
Pole Vault

Carrie Nickel (11-1) of Heritage and Paris Duhamel (10-6) of Arapahoe have the top returning vaults, but the Laurens of Lakewood (Brunsdale and Santi) have been honing their art over the indoor season. The value of those extra reps and extra work over the winter will be tested in the spring season. Miriah Abram of George Washington counts in this practicing-over-the-winter group as well.
