It's a little difficult to imagine another girls' throws year that is as good as last year's. Alexis Cooks, Krystel Martinez, and Kiah Hicks have graduated and gone on. But there's still a lot of power left in the ring. Let's take a closer look.

In recent years, Aurora hasn't been the center of a lot in track and field, but it's definitely the center of 5A girls throws for 2012. Three of the top six returning shot putters hail from Aurora. A fourth comes from a district that partly overlaps Aurora. You want to see good throwing? Head to Aurora.
