2A girls was looking like a route of significant proportions until a bit of bad luck struck Telluride. With star distance runner Rachel Hampton out with a broken foot, Telluride comes down to the level of mere mortals in the 2A ranks.

Mind you, Telluride is still a very good team, and may yet win the whole kit and kaboodle, but losing Hampton removed all margin of error. Suddenly, 2A girls has the look of a contest that could go down to the last event.

Let's start our analysis with Telluride. There are still weapons in the armory, and Josephine Bush is a good place to start when talking about those weapons.
