Similar to 1A, another name who has found tons of success in the middle distance events and the hurdles is Jessica Black of Cedaredge High School. She currently has the top time in the 800m, 1600m, and the 300m hurdles. She is also #6 in the 200m and probably would be ranked in the 400m if she chose to race that event as well. Her time of 2:18 in the 800m, 5:12 in the 1600m, and 45.25 in the 300m hurdles are all very impressive times, and Black could feasibly win all three of these events.
For the field events, Taiya Carl of Buena Vista High School owns the runway, holding the top spot in long jump, but also in the pole vault. Her jump of 17-3.5 gives her a small lead over Kailey Pearson of Swallows Charter Academy. However, she has over a two foot lead in pole vault, getting over 11-9.
