The Colorado Springs Christian boys have regularly haunted the upper echelons of 3A cross country, There are at least three third place finishes and a second for the boys in school history. That kind of success has been a lot more scarce in the girls' program. Perhaps that trend takes a little different turn this fall.
Quite possibly the biggest difference between last year and this year for the Lions is the emergence of junior Abbie Topper during track season. Topper dropped her best 3200 time to 12:15 this spring and now figures to be a serious contender to be in the medals in cross country.
