Runners Roost Invitational #2 2020

Brighton, CO
Hosted by Colorado Rage

Meet Information

THE RUNNERS ROOST INVITATIONAL IS STILL TAKING PLACE!!

TWICE!!!

With major changes of course...

To comply with the CHSAA 100-runner limit, the meet is limited to:

7 high school teams who can bring a maximum of 14 runners each.

5 middle school teams who can bring a maximum of 20 runners each.

We will add teams if we get partial teams.

If any teams enter fewer than their quota, then we will notify other schools that they can bring more until we reach the 100-runner capacity.

Choose either Sept. 15 or Sept. 22. Or if you would want to attend both days, sending "split squads" of different runners (there would be a separate fee for each day). Our preference would be for the same runners not to compete both days, but we will open it up to those if we have spots.

We just want your kids to have a race to run, so we are keeping things bare-bones:

  • Hand timing.
  • Awards will be minimal (probably individual ribbons).
  • If we have any food, it will be pre-packaged.
  • Sorry, no coaches'/citizens' race.
  • Condensed time schedule.
  • Because EMS companies charge by the hour, we will be unable to provide on-site emergency medical services.
  • $125 entry for all teams. (There is a separate fee for high school and middle school teams.)

DATE AND LOCATION

Tuesday, September 15 and 22. Adams County Fairgrounds. 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton 80602, near US 85 and 124th. Easily accessible from I-76, E-470, and I-25. This won't be the usual Fairgrounds mamby-pamby course... there WILL be trails, mud, and water jumps! This course is well-marked, and the meet is well-organized, USATF-sanctioned, and tons of FUN!

COURSE

The 5K high school course and 3K middle school will include water crossings, dirt trails, native grass fields, and much more. We hate pavement in cross country courses, so there is only a little involved here!
