The news from last weekend is getting older as I type this, so let's get this weekly tour of last week's action underway...

Chaffee County Invitational

For the first time in a long time, Salida hosted a track meet. A brand new facility will do that for you. Cross country coach extraordinaire Kenny Wilcox will be filing an article on this meet shortly, but let's give you a few highlights, anyway, to get things started.

Sangre de Cristo's Jenna McKinley took a 74-9 seed mark in the discus and raised it to 107-3. That should be enough to reserve her spot at the 2A state meet, but why stop there? S de C also got a couple of nice sprint marks out of Marissa Storey. Frank Cordova has the Thunderbirds producing this spring.
