1. Eva-Lou Edwards, Bayfield - Edwards was nothing short of dominant in 3A cross country last fall. The season may have lasted a bit too long for her, but through state she had no rivals. To the surprise of many, Edwards came out for track in the spring after giving her previous springtimes to Durango tennis. By the end of the track season, it was the old Eva-Lou, as Edwards dominated the state 3200. Figure she's back and the favorite for 2013.
2. Tabor Scholl, MIddle Park - Scholl missed most of the cross country season last fall with an injury but was back in time to qualify at regionals and run second at state. If I read Scholl's mindset correctly, she will be aiming for #1 this fall. Scholl won the 2A 1600 but did not fare as well in the 3200 in the spring.
