As regions go, this is an interesting one to "size up." By my reckoning of active cross country programs, this region ties for the smallest cross country region in the state with only nine teams. But, five of the nine teams will make it to state in both boys and girls, so let's take a look at who's likely to make the trip.
Boys
1. Pagosa Springs - Under Scott Anderson, Pagosa Springs has had a long, long run of solid teams. Mason Chronowski, Nick Hutcherson, and Tyler Greenly return as sub-18 types. Chronowski, who had a 17:07 last fall, didn't run track in the spring, so we'll wait to see where his progression has taken him.
