There were too many meets this past week, so I'm breaking the week in review article into two pieces. Things are a little more manageable that way. But, come to think of it, it's a nice problem to have--too many cross country meets.
Here we go...
We've already covered the biggest news from this meet--Cerake Geberkidane's best-ever tour of a 5K cross country course in the state of Colorado. But, there was more to this meet than one exceptionally speedy Denver East senior.
The Arvada West boys may be coming of age. The Wildcats beat every team but three at this meet at all five scoring positions. The three schools that managed to dodge being beaten at all five positions--Grand Junction, Denver East, and Valor Christian--lost to Arvada West at four of five scoring positions.
