With only two throwing events in Colorado and venues that are often inconvenient to the track, our throwers could be forgiven for feeling like the track athletes nobody knows about. And it's a shame, too, since there is some very good throwing that goes on here in Colorado. Let's see what each classification has to offer.
The top returning thrower in 5A wears a name that should be recognized by every thrower in the state. Kelcey Bedard is the daughter of Brian Bedard, head track and field coach at Colorado State University. Next year, Kelcey will be throwing for her father, but she has some of her own high school legacy to leave this year at Rocky Mountain High School.
