Admittedly, if you're not a fan of distance, the 3200 can tax your attention span just a little. Or so I've been told by a few sprint coaches whose main appreciation for the event is the rest time it provides their sprinters. But that's okay, the distance types feel more or less the same way about races that take five or six times the race duration for the competitors to get settled into their blocks.
Either, however, is infinitely preferable to the foul fest of the last two minutes (game clock time, not running time) of a close basketball game. We need to start removing limbs, or something, for fouls in the last two minutes of basketball games.
All kidding aside, it's all track and field--will against will, strength against strength. And if anyone can't appreciate ...
