The triple jump is arguably the most technical of the high school track and field events. Those who master it are few. Even at the state level, there are numerous aborted trials as jumpers get off balance, drag a foot, or experience some other technical flaw. But, a well-executed triple jump is a thing of beauty, and well worth the time invested to watch. Here's a quick guide to the top returning jumpers in each classification.

Connor Turnage won the event last year, and his main competition has graduated and now jumps (well) for Western State. If you've been watching Turnage the last couple of years, you know that he's been flirting with 50 feet for a long time. This spring would be as good of a time as any for that mark to fall.
