After a couple year's of understudy work, Mae Anderson's turn at the front of the pack appears to have arrived. Colorado Track XC file photo.

This region, and for that matter that entire state, has been's Hotchkiss's own little fiefdom for the last two years since the Bulldogs dropped down to 2A. And with Hotchkiss running Natalie Anderson and Jennifer Celis at the front of the pack, it wasn't difficult to see why this region was seeing red at every turn.

And, although Anderson and Celis are gone now, the domination might not be. 

One of the big reasons for that is a younger sister. We expect to see Mae Anderson at the front of the Hotchkiss pack this fall. In fact, she's probably at the front of the regional pack as well. Covering Anderson's backside figure to be Katy Parsons and Sophia Schelle. While both Parsons and Schelle tend to go shorter distances in track, both have shown they can extend nicely to cross country's 5000 meters when fall rolls around. Tiffany ...
