An interesting, and potentially disruptive, thing happened at Longmont High School at the end of last spring. Tim McIntire gave up the head coach's whistle for one of the state's most storied track and field programs.

Late next month, the Trojans embark on their annual track and field adventure under new leadership. Consequently, there will be lots of folks paying a little extra attention to how things go.

It's also a program that graduated a couple of its best athletes last spring. Nevertheless, the cupboard is far from bare at this school.

The most recognizable returning names are those of Sydney Wetterstrom and Keely Parish. There are any number of teams around the state that would love to have these two to build their program around.
