What to make of 3A boys? Holy Family and The Classical Academy have departed to 4A. Coal Ridge, though still dangerous, graduated a monster of a senior class last spring. Frontier Academy was also rocked by graduation last spring and will be working under a new coach this spring. Lutheran, newly up from the 2A ranks, is a certified threat.

What about Platte Valley? Well, the Broncos just might be a team of destiny this year. In a year when many other teams appear to have stepped down or stepped away, Platte Valley is a rising force. And the timing could scarcely be better for the Broncos.

Hurdles have long been a strong point for Platte Valley, so it seems entirely fitting that the Broncos have the top returning 110 hurdler in 3A in Dane Corliss. Corliss's 300 hurdles have, to date, run a bit behind his 110s, but it's not too much of a reach to imagine that he pick...
