Having spent more or less the entire winter watching Palmer Ridge's boys tear up the indoor circuit, I suppose I'm well-qualified to write about their prospects for the spring.

The first thing we'll say is that if you were expecting much of a drop-off with the departure of head coach Josh Trahan, you're likely to be disappointed. There's still plenty of fight in these Bears.

In Brian Boylen and Cole Pappas, Palmer Ridge has a nice set of short sprinters. Pappas has been running exceptionally well on the indoor circuit this winter. Boylen has been splitting his time between sprints and jumping. Both should see a lot of duty this sprint.

As soon as the distance shifts to 200 or 400 meters, however, it's time to start dealing with Caleb Ojennes and Logan Malone. This duo, frankly, is going to make a lot of other folks look slower than they are this spring.
