Over the last five years of Colorado high school track and field, no team has been as dominant as the Fountain-Fort Carson boys. The Trojans seem forever able to bring a very competitive team to the track, and nowhere more so than in the relay events.
The strength of the Fountain-Fort Carson relay program was borne out at last year's state meet in the form of two firsts (4x100 and 4x200), a second (4x400), and a third (4x800). A couple of the guys who carried the stick are gone, but there are several more returning, and still more waiting in line for their opportunities.
Relays will be a big part of the scene for Fountain-Fort Carson yet again this spring. Just get accustomed to that idea, and it will be easier to take when it happens.
